Trunk or Treat Horror!

So we just moved into our new ward, and it is great; tons of kids, awesome! Ya know? But moving into a new ward takes some time to get to know everyone and to feel like you have a place. So I was so excited to go to the ward trunk or treat party and meet some moms and have Reese meet the kids. So this is the timeline of our night!

5:15 Reese and I get into the car with all of our decorations and my Chili in my crock pot
5:30 help set up at the party decorate our table. I spend a good 30 seconds admiring my "martha-esque" pumpkins.
5:45 Walk around admiring all the decorations and wait for Bret to come and join us
6:00 I start talking to some of the people who are now arriving, feeling good about the fact that I still might have the ability to socialize with people over the age of 3!
6:15 start eating dinner, yummy soups, I was surprised that mine was gone by the time I got to the front of the line. That is a good sign!
6:17 No sooner had I sat down at the table when Reese start to cry hysterically. I try to sooth her and try taking her out to the hallway to avoid the noise, she calms a little
6:20 Inside the cultural hall again, and twenty seconds later then she erupts again!
6:22 Bret takes his turn out in the hall
So this continues until 7:00 at which point I give up and we head home. I was totally upset and bummed out because I was so excited for it. Reese never ever cries like she did, but it was ok because sunday was good and we had a good day! Maybe Trunk or Treat will not be such a horror next year!
