thunderings and lightings

When I performed "Messiah in America." With OCMCO we had a movement that was about the destruction of the American continent in after Christ's Crucifixion and it is such a powerful piece of music. It is so powerful. You can read about it here. Whenever I see a thunderstorm from now on I will think of that piece of music and the power of the Lord.

Yesterday we had a rare occurrence of a thunderstorm in southern California. It was awesome. Then after that display of power a beautiful rainbow appeared. It made me grateful for the beauty of the earth and that even after a display of destruction and power, there is grace. I am mad I didn't get a picture but I do have a few from my phone, just because.
